Development
Frameworks and tooling we build and run in the open. They share one idea: a website, an API or a stylesheet should be as plain as possible, close to the standards, and easy to host yourself.
Projects
Stylesheet.css
A standards-compliant CSS framework built around semantic HTML, an intuitive layout system and a minimal set of classes, with no JavaScript at all.
stylesheet.orgLocalhoster
Self-hosted tools for building websites. Author a site as a local folder named after its domain; a tiny, stateless client mirrors it to your own server, which serves it over HTTPS.
localhoster.orgDatahoster
Drop a folder, get an API. Collections, users and endpoints are plain-text files; your own server serves them as JSON over HTTPS, so a form can post straight to a collection.
datahoster.orgSitehoster
Static hosting for the localhoster family: mirror a folder of domains to your own server, which issues certificates and serves every site over HTTPS automatically.
sitehoster.orgBuilt on our own tools
Plain HTML
Every page on this site, and on the sites linked from it, is a static HTML file styled by Stylesheet.css.
Hosted from a folder
Each site is a local folder named for its domain, mirrored to our own server by Sitehoster and served over HTTPS.
Data without a backend
Forms post straight to Datahoster collections. The contact form on this site is one of them.
